My dream bedroom

Our bedroom is in a desperate need of  a redecoration! I’m to embarrassed to say when it was last done!! Put it this way, Lauren was 5!! Lauren and I have been browsing the old Internet to get a few ideas.

I love the colour and pattern of the curtains and duvet from Dunelm. I like the country cottage style design.

This bed is from IKEA, I adore the white metal style. It has stylish clean lines and to me gives a grand image and perfect for a smaller bedroom, like ours.

This chest of drawers is also from IKEA, simple and not to fancy.

I love this storage unit and boxes also from Ikea. It’s perfect for the Hubby to store all his medical bits and pieces. At the moment he has a horrible drawer unit.

I’m trying to decide which colour to paint the walls. Not sure whether to go for wallpaper or emulsion. Emulsion would be easier as I can do that. Should I go for a block of colour or the whole room? Decisions, decisions!!

I’m not into really fancy accessories. I like quite plain things. The cushions above would add colour to the room. The frame would be perfect on the wall, I have loads of photos waiting to go in it! I’m not sure on the style of the lampshade, it’s mainly the colour I like, maybe one for the walls!

This week I’ve loved designing my dream bedroom!

Sounds very exciting! I like white furniture and these colours too. Maybe go for white walls and furniture and then add in some really colourful accessories as then you can always change them when you get bored or want a new look? Good luck! Thanks for linking up – much appreciated. Jess x

Aaah it’s so exciting having a lovely project to plan isn’t it? I did a mini makeover on our guest bedroom quite recently — I decorated the ceiling with wallpaper 🙂 It worked so well and looked so different from before 🙂 Can’t wait to see what you end up doing Lyn! Thanks so much for linking up with #HomeEtc — hope to see you again next week! x

I love your picks. I am a big fan of Ikea, I would love a metal bed, but my other half isn’t a fan.
